Mall of the Emirates, Majid Al Futtaim’s flagship lifestyle and luxury shopping destination will be the hub of family-orientated activities, cultural celebration and fun interactive activations spreading the Spirit of the Union for the 44th UAE National Day.
From November 20thto December 5th, Mall of the Emirates will host patriotic celebrations featuring something for the whole family, from cultural activities for the little ones and roaming entertainment to stunning fashion displays that showcase the UAE’s proud heritage. The mall will be draped in a grand new flag themed décor of light curtains throughout key areas transforming it into a National Day spectacle.
Mall visitors will be treated to a unique online interactive experience whereby their voice notes will be transformed into text, creating a stunning visual display of the UAE flag. Visitors will be asked to speak for 15 – 30 seconds, in English or Arabic, about their pride and spirit towards the UAE. Their words will then be generated into text, printed and imposed onto a screen which will form the design of the UAE flag. Optionally, participants’ can edit their text and approve a photograph to be posted on the Mall of the Emirates Facebook page.

Every weekend, from November 20th– November 4th, a visually incredible display of fashion and dance with couture pieces inspired by iconic moments of Dubai will take over the mall. With 3 shows per day, references to key milestones, cultural reminders, and quintessential representations of Dubai from the past, present and future will be performed in contemporary dance styles with exhilarating balancing acts.
Not to be missed, on November 29th from 10:30am to 11am, 44 Emirati children from Al Rabee School, in collaboration with the Dubai Police Band, will march a National Day themed parade through the mall dressed in the UAE flag colours. In addition, Hamdan bin Mohamad Heritage Center will be on hand, from November 29th– December 1st, to educate shoppers on the culture heritage of the UAE. Complimentary giveaways such as flags and UAE coloured scarves will be available for all visitors to spread the Spirit of the Union.
