Launches revamped website and mobile app, offers iPhone 6s in raffle draw.
Aimed at showcasing its digital innovations, Expo Centre Sharjah is participating in the region’s biggest technology trade show, Gitex 2015, for the first time.
With the event being promoted as a knowledge platform for everyone, Expo Centre Sharjah, through its participation, is presenting its digital solutions and services to a wider target audience until October 22 in Dubai.
Expo Centre is taking part in Gitex Technology Week along with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry in the Sharjah government departments’ pavilion.
The new website and mobile apps were jointly launched by H.E. Sheikh Salem Bin Abdul Rahman Al-Qassimi, Chairman of Sharjah Ruler’s Office and Mr. Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry, on Monday (October 19) in the presence of Mr. Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO, Expo Centre Sharjah, and other SCCI, ECS and Sharjah Government officials.
“Technology has emerged as a big game changer. Our participation aims to underscore the event’s theme of ‘The Internet – Future of Everything’, given that the exhibitions industry the world over is embracing digital infrastructure and technology to provide quality digital solutions and services to customers,” said Mr. Midfa.
“At our pavilion, we are showcasing our new website in Arabic and English with enhanced features and an optimised navigation system. We are also presenting our all-new mobile app that will give instant access to daily updates on our exhibitions, various services and social media integration,” added Mr. Midfa.
Emphasising the fact that apps have become a dynamic factor in marketing and business strategies, Expo Centre Sharjah is offering its visitors a chance to win an iPhone 6S by downloading the mobile app and registering themselves.
“With the revamped website and mobile app, we aim to take advantage of the digital opportunity in the region and its appetite for innovation, besides further integrating new media into our marketing and sales drives,” Mr. Midfa added.
The app, available on both Android and Apple operating platforms, will provide full details of all B2B and B2C events at Expo Centre in both English and Arabic. It will be an access point for information such as ECS events calendar, brochures, registration forms, floor plans, press releases, photo & video gallery, location info, special attractions, concurrent events, online registration option, notifications, newsletters and contact details.
More than 3,600 companies from over 62 countries are taking part in the 35th edition of the Gitex Technology Week, which is taking place from October 18-22 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
